How nautical miles come about
Everyone starts at 1000. A win brings nautical miles, a loss costs some – how many depends on the opponent: beat a more experienced crew and you get more, lose to a less experienced one and you lose more. In the first ten games the steps are bigger, so you quickly find your place.
